Brazilian-Japanese beauty Keytt Lundqvist is often seen as a red carpet fashionista, but far beyond a sense of style and beneath the socialite façade, Lundqvist is a woman secure in who she is. Growing up within two seemingly distinct cultural worlds in which the male figure prevails, she knew early on that she wanted to become a strong, determined, and independent woman.
Lundqvist arrived in New York City from Brazil in 1992 to study. Eight years later she first met top model Alex Lundqvist, at a SoHo party. Eventually, they married, but because her husband’s high profile career keeps the couple separated for extended periods, they have had to consciously work to nurture and sustain their partnership—a job Keytt takes very seriously.
Despite society’s stubborn portrait of her as Alex Lundqvist’s wife or “plus one,” she proudly supports her husband’s career but without sacrificing her own individuality. She has no regrets about being a stay-at-home mom either. In fact, she has little patience for those who cast such a choice in a negative light. Simply, her children are her passion.
But no matter what role Keytt inhabits she is the epitome of the modern woman— beautiful and bold, tender and fierce, and absolutely unafraid of defining life on her own terms.
